How to Trespass | Exploring Abandoned Places
ORDER STICKERS HERE | rb.gy/8xa0g8
I’ve explored and documented a lot of abandoned places the past few years, and the question I get the most is “How did you get in there?”. That’s a pretty broad question, but I’m going to try and answer it…and only incriminate myself a little bit.

Sometimes what I do isn't always approved officially, but if we’re not documenting these places after they’re abandoned then we risk them being completely lost to time, vandals, or redevelopment. I love to see these spots get new life by being repurposed instead than erased - but you know, this is what happens to them most of the time. That’s the reality of it, so if I see an opportunity to document something and tell a story, I’m just gonna go for it.
To everyone watching, have fun exploring out there and send me a message or leave a comment if you have any questions. If you want to see all the types of abandoned spots that I just talked about you can check out my Abandoned from Above series on my channel right now. As always, thank you for watching.

Abandoned Rocky Point Amusement Park | Rhode Island Icon
Переглядів 184 тис.Місяць тому
Rocky Point Amusement Park is legendary in Rhode Island history for so many reasons. It was the place to be every summer with rides, games, concerts, and the largest shore dinner hall in the world. It had everything you could want. Rhode Islanders loved this place, but it closed for good in 1996 after nearly 150 years in business… and almost 30 years later we still never stop talking about it. ...

my uncle lives around the corner from there....... try to find, a grave yard, i think it's in Lancaster, area,,,, beyond an already old cemetary sp, is yet another one, after crossing rail road tracks that are still used,,, there's a grave yard, with a black slate stone (kinda new commemorating the site, dated 1635. ask around, people know of it. I know you guys will get a kick out of it

I believe the property was leveled recently. Nothing about the drive in is left. It's now a repair shop for a local Semi dealer. Vandals set the screen on fire shortly after this video was made.

I walked about half through this tunnel back in 93 (right around the time of the riots). It was empty - there’s random stuff like couches/carriages/random trash. The tracks were dry for the entire walk (about half way through) There was so much stagnant water. Some was a creamy rust color (right?) and the murkiest black water I’ve ever seen. It would have been mad easy to hide a body in there - some of those black pools looked deep. I remember bringing a candle to make sure we had oxygen. They closed it bot long after. It’s a shame PVD can’t sort it out. A few years ago there were plans to convert an unused tunnel as an underground garden / walking path. That’s be dope af.

I remember going to Disneyland in 1980, in December.. John Lennon got shot and killed when we were there . And I remember thinking, Disneyland sucks, Rocky Point Park is way better!!! My father's company had their picnic there every summer. It was absolutely the best ! RIP Rocky Point!

Love the content Jason. My family is from Barrington and we spent our summers on Block Island before moving up to NY in the 90s. It's truly remarkable how much history and character RI has. Your ability to document and narrate our tiny state's history is incredible. However, I am a bit apprehensive for any new content releases due to the fact that it's getting harder to see locations with personal connections in states of abandonment.

I grew up in NY & had been going there since the 50's, we had family in Warwick. My Mom had to go the Shore Dining Pier every year for clam chowder. Our oldest son got to enjoy the park but our youngest son never had the opportunity. I cannot believe they never built condos or townhouses there & the land still stands vacant.

The towers are being taken down and the land subdivided for housing and a solar farm. Our ham radio club used one of the antennas for a contest. We worked European stations that had never before worked a US station on that band.

Great video. I like the controller towers and the picture of the active ones in the old days. I got to go in one in the old U.P.R.R. yard in Salt Lake City before they took it down. It had been vacant for 20 years and fenced in not vadelized .it was like a timecapsul. Most of the yard is gone, and they made the depot into part of the Gateway mall and apartment complex. The tower lot is a community vegetable garden. They built growing boxes with imported soil because, like most old railway yards, the soil has had any number of spills large or small . Toxic soil is part of history. I'm 56. 40 years ago, I was in Cedar City, Utah. Lucky similar situation. Depot station house. Like a timecapsul. It looked like it was ready for business. Ticket book on the clerks desk. It's also apartments.

Absolute shame Rocky Point is gone. I am a 69 year old man and my parents took the family here here in the 60's, 70's and 80's. When I married and had children we took them here. Nothing could beat the Shore Dinner hall where you could get clamcakes, chowder, watermelon or other seafoods. Kids would always have a blast on the rides and playing the arcade games. Of course they would want the candy apples or cotton candy or doughboys and how could you say no. It was a good day for all. Fourth of July you would try to make sure you would go there and spend the day and wait for the TREMENDOUS fireworks...

Excellent presentation. Thank you for putting this together. We all have our own Rocky Point memories going way back. I find it very sad that big government ultimately ended up the owner of Rocky Point. To me, that is a sad commentary on where everything in America ultimately ends up... in the hands of big taxing big government.
